Description:
Well, after a 2 hour drive through redneck county, we arrived at the lake.
There's a 50 yard walk DOWN to the lake. Ya gotta carry your equipment down to
the lake edge. There's some grass and some sand and lots of ants.! We spread
some tarps, layed out the equipment and got ready to dive. It was getting hot!
Dive Instructor Rick dove out and attached a marker to a wooden platform about
200 ft from our beach entry point. Rick had Snorkel Lady as dive partner and
student and I
had Rick's Vicky. Snorkel Lady, by the way, was a member of our Bacardi Limon
Beach Dive Team this summer as a snorkeler!. She went on several beach dives
and had no fear of following us divers out into the off shore reef's! She's
now graduating
into Diving!
This dive took us out to a 20 ft by 10 ft wooden platform. Instructor Rick
tied a line with a float to this platform for the student diver to perform her
dive tasks. There were lot's of small fish, Instructor Rick pick up some small
clams, broke them open and fed the fish. They sure did go for the food! After
performing her tasks for the dive, Instructor Rick wrote on his dive slate that
we should go and find the wreck. Well, the excitement was really building
since I've done a lot of wreck diving all around Florida. About 30 ft away,
there it was, the remains of an 18 ft white fiberglass run-a-bout! Not quite
what I was expecting, but it was a wreck. There also was a porcelain goddess
sitting on the deck!

Description:
Same as last! We went out towards the platform - I was following Snorkel Lady
and her instructor. They went past the platform and tried to follow a weed
line to see what was there! There was not much in a poor vis lake. We even
got down to 30 ft!! Back at the platform, SL and the instructor continued with
her lessons.
While I was drying out, the instructor made SL perform her 300 yard swim and 10
min float! It was an interesting time!
