Dive Trip Report to :West Palm Bach

Dive #1: , My Dive # 119
A. Dive Location: Flower Garden
B. Conditions:
Visability: 30 feet
Seas: FLAT
Water Temp: 78/79F - Used a 3 mm shortie with a lycra suite under it!
Skies: SCBS - Sunny Clear Blue Skies, no wind
Air Temp : 85-90
C. Dive Information: 63' for 31 minutes, I went in with 3500 lbs came out with 1700 (120 cu ft tank). Lots of colors - for the Flower Garden, lots of fish and Bugs. Fast dive, fairly fast underwater current Great Dive. Divemaster Captain Tim (Bobs son).

Dive #2: , My Dive # 120
A. Dive Location: Breakers (of course)
B. Conditions:
Visability: 30 feet
Seas: FLAT
Water Temp: 78/79F, same shortie as above
Skies: SCBS
Air Temp : 80-90
C. Dive Information: 60' fo 38 minutes, I went in with 3200 lbs came out with 1300 (80 cu ft tank). Again, with the current, this was a fairly fast drift - love a drift dive that way. My dive partner saw her first shark - about an 8' nurse shark. After proding by others, the nurse rapidly swam just below my partner - a real experiece! There was a small turtle (2' across), and a spotted eel and of course some Bugs. One bug was in the 4 lb rnage, bug season opens in JUly. The eel kind of gave my dive partner a jolt - she didn't want any part of the eel - except from 20' away. Divemaster Captain Tim (Bobs son).

DIVE TRIP TO: JUNO LEDGES! BEST TRIP EVER!!

Dive #3: (Sunday Morning) , My Dive # 121
A. Dive Location: Juno Ledges - with only few divers on board and the current too swift for the Princess Ann, WE talked Capt Bob to go north to the Juno Ledges. These Ledges are to the Breakers as the Breakers are to the Flower Garden! The go from the sand at 95' up to 70'' and go on for the length of the drift and lots more! This 25' ledge is filled with cracks and valley's filled with all kinds of fish!
B. Conditions:
Visability: 40 feet
Seas: @ one foot
Water Temp: approx. 78/79F - Again a shortie with skin underneath.
Skies: High cloud cover, little sun, but still very bright
Air Temp : 80-90
C. Dive Information: 94' for 26 minutes - my new Genesis Nitrox Resource. (My 1 1/2 year old Cochran Captain gave 89' for 28 min - it's not a very trustworthy computer. At one point during the dive the Cochran read 89', the Genesis 93' and my old trustworthy analog 93'). I went in with 3100 lbs came out with 1000 (80 cu ft tank). This was a fast drift dive along the ledges. It was AWSOME. Lots and Lots of fish - and even more fish. After my dive partner and I came out, the dive master sighted a 200 lb jewfish and a small black tip shark!! Divemaster - Mike the Lobster Catcher!

Dive #4: , My Dive # 122
A. Dive Location: Juno Ledges - Due to the really great 1st dive, we all convince Capt Bob to let us dive the ledges a second time. We all had dive computers - an absolute must for this type of diving - we did press the NDC Limit!
B. Conditions:
Visability: 40 feet
Seas: @ one foot
Water Temp: approx. 78/79F - shortie with skin underneath - it was a cold shock upon jumping in this second time.
Skies: Same as 1st.
Air Temp : 80-90
C. Dive Information: 93' for 28 minutes (The old untrustworthy Cochran Captain read 90' for 26 min), I went in with 3200 lbs came out with 800 (80 cu ft tank). We really used our computers for this dive. My dive partner was down to 1000 lbs with only 5 minutes left at 75', so we came up. This also was a really fast drift dive along the ledges. Again it was AWSOME. Lots of colors, lots of fish, lots of cracks and valleys. Divemaster - Mike the Lobster Catcher!
