B. Conditions:
Visibility: 2 - 4 ft (very poor)
Seas: 1 ft seas, about the max you'd want to beach dive in
Water Temp: 76, Yea it was cold enough to wear a full Farmer John wet suit - those that didn't got a little cold!!
Skies: Sunny, Clear Blue Skies!
Air Temp: 80's
C. Dive Information:
Depth & Time: Me: Genesis Nitrox Dive Computer - 13 ft for 8 min
Air consumption: Me: 3600 lbs to 2700 lbs [120 cu ft]
Current: Mild to the north, some surge
Description: Well, we've been trying to get this dive in for over a month! Every time, we were weathered out with strong east winds. This time, the winds were out of the south. Vis report to the north was 2 ft, we couldn't get hold of the Park Life Guards to check the vis down south! So, we all met around 8 am. We had one new novice beach diver and the experienced Beach Dive Team - the diehards! The entry was easy, even in the 1 ft seas. We swam about 1/2 way on our backs towards the marker bouy and then I decited to go down and check out the vis. Down we went - vis 2 ft. We stayed there for a few minutes and then came back up. Again, on the surface, we swam on our backs towards the bouy. Once there, we started down - my dive partner could not get down. 10 lbs of lead fell out of the integrated BC - end of the dive for us! The 8 min of bottom time came in at on the way out! The air usage was from the beach entry and exit. In both cases, we breath tank air in case a wave knocks you over!

Dive #1: Sunday, 25-June, Morning Dive. My Dive #307
A. Dive Boat / Location: Beach Dive - Pepper Park
B. Conditions:
Visibility: 5 - 10 ft, not the greatest, but you could see stuff!
Seas: 1 ft seas, again, about the max you'd want to beach dive in
Water Temp: 76
Skies: Sunny, Clear Blue Skies!
Air Temp: 80's
C. Dive Information:
Depth & Time: Me: Genesis Nitrox Dive Computer - 13 ft for 42 min
Air consumption: Me: 2700 lbs to 1300 lbs [120 cu ft]
Current: Mild to the north, some surge
Description: Well, again we did the beach entry. This park is nice - showers, life guards, walkway to the beach etc. We went out to the third reef and swam around some. There was not much fish life on this dive compared to previous dives. We did see two lobsters and one buried small ray. It was a good experience for the novice diver and a fun dive for the others. Following the dive we had our typical lunch et al!
