Current: Strong!!
Description: Well, the winds were 10 - 15 out of the SE, there were some seas! Capt Bob dropped us off just outside of the inlet in 70 ft of water. The vis wasn't the greatest, the current was a screaming! We did a very fast drift over some flats and some relief area. There were only a few bugs to be seen and some fish! We did see one turtle, about 3-4 ft long! About 1/2 way into the dive we came across the 70 ft barge (a barge in 70 ft of water). Divemasters Andrew and Cathy tied off for a few minutes! Some people couldn't hold on and were carried away! There were ton's of Grunts on the wreck!

Dive #2: Saturday, 17-Jun-2000, Afternoon Dive. My Dive #303
A. Dive Boat / Location: The Rampage / Rock Pile
B. Conditions:
Visibility: 30 ft
Seas: 3 to 5 ft, several were riding the rail!
Water Temp: 80 deg, removed the bottoms from the farmer john and wore only the top part! Temp wasn't too bad, but really need the skin under the shortie!!
Skies: SCBS (Sunny Clear Blue Skies, some puff balls)
Air Temp: 80 - 90's
C. Dive Information:
Depth & Time: Me: Genesis Nitrox Dive Computer - 64 ft for 49, Analog - wrist holder strap broke - need a new strap!, Cochran Captain (Very Unreliable Dive Computer) - 60 fto for 49.
Air consumption: Me: 3500 to 1200 (120 cu ft)
Current: Still Strong to the North!
Description: Well, this time Capt Bob dropped us south of the inlet at the Rock Pile! Vis again was about 30 ft. Two 3-4 ft long turtles were spotted. There were some small bugs. Also, in various spots there was a red slime! Some areas had coverage of 10 - 20 ft, some it was a few inches. But, it was a deep redish slime like material - no one know what it was or where it came from!!
