Description: Well this started out to be a Kayak Dive and Snorkel trip. We go to Pepper Park around 8:30 and unpacked the kayak et al. I was to be on the kayak with the scuba stuff set up for kayak diving via a 45 ft hose and my partner was going to snorkel. Later on we would switch. It's a lot of work to set up the kayak and take it to the water. The new wooden walkway to the beach has a 90 deg turn at the beach and the kayak does not bend! It's gotta be lifted up over the rail and then turned. The wheels on the kayak helper are sort of solid and do get bogged down in the sand some. Well we made it to the water, brought down all the equipment and started to put it together in the hot sun. Opps - no tank straps. The kayak comes with two straps to hold in the dive tank. No straps in the car either. Ya gotta remember, I just moved and can't find a lot of stuff. All the kayak gear was in one plastic bin, which I took, but no straps. Couldn't find them in the house later either. Ok, I'll use bungies. hooked up everything, turned on the air and bingo - a leak at a fitting. Got a wrench, but could not stop the leak. Ok, we'll leave the tank on the beach and just go out and snorkel.

So, out we went. I kayaked, partner snorkeled. Out to the 3rd reef and I jumped in. Oppps - no snorkel. It's still in the dive bag. Ok, I'll just hold my breath, tow the kayak and look down. It went ok. We spend 30 min looking over the 3rd reef but decided not to go out to the 4th reef. My partner go on the kayak and I took her snorkel. We went around some and then decided to go in and get over to Vero for some Kayak testing days. Long swim in. Hot day washing everything off and putting it away.

Off we went up to Rt 60 with a quick pass around the Boiler Wreck. Our kayak fisherman has put an American Flag on the below waterline pipes of the Boiler Wreck!! Up to the park and an hour of playing around with some kayaks.

Recommendations - get up a Kayak Check List.
