Flounder
runs away from this diver.
East end of RT 60 in Vero Beach. It's 450 feet off the beach (so they say - I say it's 1000 yards) is a large boiler and the remains of a 200 foot long steel ship that went down on April 30th, 1894. It's visible from shore at low tide. She rests in 15 to 20 feet of water between the 3rd and 4th reefs. Her twisted remains are covered with marine growth. Good lobstering and spear fishing here. Bigger ledges, up to 20', are found east of Holiday Inn.
