Air Temp: 80's
C. Dive Information:
Depth & Time: Me: Genesis Nitrox Dive Computer -12 ft for 29 min
Air consumption: Me: 3500 - 1200 lb, 80 cu ft, air.
Current: Minimal, but there was a 1 foot underwater surge due to the ground swell.
Description: Well, this dive started out real great. At the last minute on Saturday, we received permission to use the private lot for access to the Urca. This saved a lot of walking from Pepper Park in Ft. Pierce. About to enter, one team member noted no fins!! Well, we all went in anyway. The S.S. Nemisis rowed out and a half dozen divers swam out to the newely installed marker bouy. This bouy was missing on the last dive. It marks the general location of the wreck. Down we dove, into very poor vis. At most it was 4 foot with a 1 ft surge on the bottom. Well, we were out there - that's 99% of the battle. So we looked around. It took some time, but the anchor was found about 50 ft to the south of the bouy. The cannon are about 100 ft to the east of the anchor. This was the first time I saw the anchor. I tried for some underwater photo's - but they really did not turn out. We've had better times and conditions, but!
