Tarpon Springs is a must place to visit! Stop in to Platka's, 769 dodecanese
Blvd (813)-934-4752, and get a Hero and some Retsina. Ask for Tami! Several
doors down, turn let when you walk out of Platka's, Hella's is one of the
larget sweetest Greek Pastry Shops in the world, 785 Dodecanese Blvd
(813)-943-2400. You'll want to buy one of everything. Sometimes, I try:
Baklava, Greek Custard, Bougatsa, Walnut Cake, Folgeres, Chocolate flogeres,
Shredded Dough with Walnuts, Cinnamon Honey Cookies, Diples, Saragli,
Sfoliates, Apple Turnovers, Touloubes, Totte's, Eclair's, Napolean's and more!!
Two days of the best authentic Greek Food from the area's finest eateries,
plus entertainment, arts and crafts and kidds activities. Sponsored by the

Fly in to Fernandina Beach, (55J) with lots of runways in all kinds of directions. The airport is about 5 miles away from down town, the taxi service has greatly improved (Benjamin's Cab Service - (904)-261-7278. The Festival is worth going to, the main street in town is blocked off and filled with food and stuff for sale - 175,000 visitors. The real great food is down by the water, lots of shrimp and other seafood. This is the 34th annual Isle of Eight Flags Shrimp Festival and celebrates the birth of the shrimping industry on Amelia Island with a weekend of fun-filled activities. The Victorian streets of historic Fernandina Beach (home page author's note - I think they mean real old houses!!) are transformed into an eclectic festival featuring the landing of the pirates, an arts and crafts festival, live entertainment and some of the finest shrimp aroud - all cought fresh in the waters off Amelia Island. Food and crafts were great. 1998 Sunday - Weater great flying three - no wind, forever vis, no clouds. Fest had hundreds of Artists, lots of food and other vendors. EAA Poker Run
. EAA Chapter 1181 will sponsor a Poker Run. Heading up the project involves
delivering a deck of playing cards to Pilot Country, Tampa North Airport,
Vandenberg and Plant City. You will need to find on eperson at each location
to hand out a playing card to each participating pilot. See
