Space Coast Descender Dive Club Bug Dive & Picnic at Pepper Park, Ft. Pierce.

About a dozen of the club members showed up. We dove a total of 3 dives, each for about 30-40 minutes. When you arrive at Pepper Park, near the entrance is the Showers and Changing Room. We were lucky to get a covered picnic table area just next to the showers. It's about a 100 yard walk to the surf line - with all of your dive equipment attached! It's then about a 100 yard swim to the 2nd or 3rd reef. The 3rd reef does have some relief and is very pretty. Some fish, no bugs, vis 10-15' - Not the greatest but it was a great dive. Pepper Park is a good place to dive from.

A note from the lifeguards: There have been several car break in's lately by some of the locals. If you don't have anyone near the cars, park them in view of the lifeguard stand. Do not park them behind the trees to block the view from the lifeguard stand.

We had some good dives, great exercise and a lunch. The clouds came close, but it never rained. Pepper Park is 49 miles south of Eau Gallie Blvd on A1A. Its a big park on the left and the entrance is at the south end of the park.
